Declaration:

With the aim of specifying the scope of this Protocol and upon depositing its instrument of accession, the Government of the Republic of Honduras, acting in accordance with article 3 of the Protocol, declares that:
1 (a). Under the legislation of the State of Honduras, the minimum age for voluntary recruitment into the armed forces is 18 years, as part of the country's educational, social, humanist and democratic system".
II. This Agreement shall be submitted to the Sovereign National Congress for consideration, for the purposes of article 205, number 30, of the Constitution of the Republic.

Declaration under article 287:

In accordance with article 287, paragraph 1, of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, the State of Honduras chooses the International Court of Justice as the means for the settlement of disputes of any kind concerning the interpretation or application of the said Convention.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, the State of Honduras reserves the possibility of considering any other means of peaceful settlement, including the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea, as agreed on a case-by-case basis.

Reservations

The Republic of Honduras does not consider itself bound by the following provisions of the articles and annexes contained in the Convention on Road Traffic:
1. Chapter IV, article 41, paragraph 5, relating to the second annex 6 to the 1968 Convention on Road Traffic, which in its paragraphs 8 and 9 contains the categories DE and D1E concerning units for the carriage of persons that can be coupled to a trailer.
2. Article 30, paragraph I, relating to annex 6, paragraphs 8 and 9, on weights expressly stipulated as maximum masses.
3. Annex 1, paragraph l, relating to annex 5, chapter II, paragraph 42, concerning vehicle dimensions.
4. Chapter IV, article 41, subparagraphs (b) and (c), concerning the minimum age for obtaining a permit for the first time.
Declaration

The Republic of Honduras shall, with respect to the above-mentioned partial reservations, apply the provisions of articles 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 28 and 35, paragraph 2, and the other applicable provisions concerning vehicle dimensions contained in the Central American Agreement on Road Traffic.

“The State of Honduras will apply the Convention to the recognition and execution of arbitral [awards] issued in the territory of another Contracting State. Also, it will only apply the Convention to the differences arising out of legal relationships, whether contractual or not, considered as as commercial by national legislation.”

Upon signature:

Honduras signs the present Convention with the reservation that the expression "treatment as favourable as possible", referred to in those of its provisions to which reservations may be made, must not be understood to include the special treatment which has been or may be granted to the nationals of Spain, the Latin American countries in general, and in particular to the countries which constituted the United Provinces of Central America and now form the Organization of Central American States.

Reservations:

(a) With respect to article 7:
The Government of the Republic of Honduras understands this article to mean that it shall accord to refugees such facilities and treatment as it shall deem appropriate at its discretion, taking into account the economic, social, democratic and security needs of the country;
(b) With respect to article 17:
This article shall in no way be understood as limiting the application of the labour and civil service laws of the country, especially is so far as they refer to the requirements, quotas and conditions of work which an alien must fulfil in his employment;
(e) With respect to article 34:
The Government of the Republic of Honduras shall not be obligated to guarantee refugees more favourable naturalization facilities than those ordinarily granted to aliens in accordance with the laws of the country.
