Reservation:

“The Republic of Mozambique does not consider itself bound by the provision of Article 66, paragraph 2 of the United Nations Convention against Corruption, which provides that any dispute between two or more States Parties concerning the interpretation or application of the Convention that cannot be settled through negotiation shall, at the request of one of those States Parties, be submitted to arbitration or to the International Court of Justice.
The Republic of Mozambique considers that no dispute of such nature may be submitted to arbitration or to the International Court of Justice without the consent of all parties to the dispute.”

Declaration:

".....in accordance with the Mozambican legislation, the minimum age for enlistment into its national armed forces is 18 years,
The Republic of Mozambique declares, also that according to the law, the incorporation starts at the age of 20.
The Republic of Mozambique, furthermore declares that in case of war the age for the military service can be modified."

Declaration:

“... with the following declaration in accordance with its article 24, paragraph 2:
"The Republic of Mozambique does not consider itself bound by the provisions of article 24 paragraph 1 of the Convention.
In this connection the Republic of Mozambique states that, in the each individual case, the consent of all Parties to such a dispute is necessary for the submission of the dispute to arbitration or to the International Court of Justice.”
Furthermore, the Republic of Mozambique declare that:
“The Republic of Mozambique, in accordance with its Constitution and domestic laws, may not and will not extradite Mozambique citizens.
Therefore, Mozambique citizens will be tried and sentenced in national courts".

Declaration:

“... with the following declaration in accordance with its article 20, paragraph 2:
“The Republic of Mozambique does not consider itself bound by the provisions of article 20 paragraph 1 of the Convention.
In this connection, the Republic of Mozambique states that, in each individual case, the consent of all Parties to such a dispute is necessary for the submission of the dispute to arbitration or to the International Court of Justice”.
Furthermore, the Republic of Mozambique declare that:
“The Republic of Mozambique, in accordance with its Constitution and domestic laws, may not and will not extradite Mozambique citizens.
Therefore, Mozambique citizens will be tried and sentenced in national courts”.

“... with the following declaration in accordance with its article 16, paragraph 2:
"The Republic of Mozambique does not consider itself bound by the provisions of article 16 paragraph 1 of the Convention.
In this connection, the Republic of Mozambique states that, in each individual case, the consent of all Parties to such a dispute is necessary for the submission of the dispute to arbitration or to [the] International Court of Justice.”
Furthermore, the Republic of Mozambique declares that:
“The Republic of Mozambique, in accordance with its Constitution and domestic laws, can not extradite Mozambique citizens.

“The Republic of Mozambique does not consider itself bound by the provisions of article 13, paragraph 1 of the Convention.
In this connection, the Republic of Mozambique states that, in each individual case, the consent of all Parties to such a dispute is necessary for the submission of the dispute to arbitration or to [the] International Court of Justice.” Furthermore, the Republic of Mozambique declares that: The Republic of Mozambique, in accordance with its Constitution and domestic laws, can not extradite Mozambique citizens.
Therefore, Mozambique citizens will be tried and sentenced in national courts."

The People's Republic of Mozambique interprets article 12 of the Convention as to mean that the submission of any dispute concerning the interpretation and application of the Convention to the International Court of Justice shall be at the previous consent and request of all the parties to the dispute.

Reservation:

"The People's Republic of Mozambique does not consider to be bound by the provision of article 22 and wishes to restate that for the submission of any dispute to the International Court of Justice for decision in terms of the said article, the consent of all parties to such a dispute is necessary in each individual case."

Declaration:

"As regards articles 74 and 76, the People's Republic of Mozambique considers that these provisions are incompatible with the principle that multilateral international instruments whose purpose and subject matters are of interest to the International Community as a whole should be open for universal participation.
It also considers that the said articles are contrary to the principle of sovereign equality of states and deprive sovereign states from their legitimate right to participate in it."

"The People's Republic of Mozambique takes this opportun-ity to draw the attention to the discriminatory nature of the articles 48 and 50 of the present Convention which preclude a number of States from acceding to it. In view of its broad scope which affects the interest of all States in the world the present Convention should therefore be open for participation of all States."
"The People's Republic of Mozambique considers that the joint participation of States in a convention does not represent their official recognition."

Reservation:

“The Republic of Mozambique reserves itself the right to enforce the provisions of the said Conventions on the base of reciprocity, where the artibral awards have been pronounced in the territory of another Contracting State.”

Reservations:

In respect of articles 13 and 22:

The Government of Mozambique will take these provisions as simple recommendations not binding it to accord to refugees the same treatment as is accorded to Mozambicans with respect to elementary education and property.
In respect of articles 17 and 19:

The Government of Mozambique will interpret [these provisions] to the effect that it is not required to grant privileges from obligation to obtain a work permit.
As regards article 15:

The Government of Mozambique will not be bound to accord to refugees or groups of refugees resident in its territory more extensive rights than those enjoyed by nationals with respect to the right of association and it reserves the right to restrict them in the interest of national security.
As regards article 26:

The Government of Mozambique reserves its right to designate place or places for principal residence for refugees or to restrict their freedom of movement whenever considerations of national security make it advisable.
As regards article 34:

The Government of Mozambique does not consider itself bound to grant to refugees facilities greater than those granted to other categories of aliens in general, with respect to naturalization laws."
