But the Ministry of Interior estimates, on the basis of permanent residency permits it delivered, that the number of Moroccan nationals in France would have risen from 270,000 at the end of 1973 to 302,000 at the end of 1974. Of these, workers were about 130,000 and 150,000 at the same respective dates. The proportion of Moroccan nationals entering France has risen from 12% of total entrees in 1971, to 15% in 1972, 17% in 1973 and 22% in 1974.
