No. 4631 TU Agricultural Reform Implementation Project Amendment to the Loan Agreement Dear Mr. Ekren, We refer to: (a) the Loan Agreement, dated July 12, 2001, between the Republic of Turkey (the Borrower) and International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) for the above noted Project; and (b) the letter of October 3, 2001 from Dr. Salih Yilmaz, Acting Director General, The Undersecretariat of Treasury of the Borrower. The Borrower has requested the Bank to increase the existing ceiling in the Loan Agreement of retroactive financing for Category 6 of the table under Part A.1 of Schedule 1 to the Loan Agreement, for job loss compensation payments under Part C of the Project, from $32,000,000 to $48,000,000. The Bank is pleased to accede to the Borrower
