Page 1 The States of Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Orissa, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh July 15, 1996 International Development Association 1818 H Street, NW Washington, DC 20433 United States of America Re: Credit No. 2876-IN (Second District Primary Education Project) Project Implementation Dear Sirs and Mesdames: With reference to Schedule 2 to the Development Credit Agreement of even date herewith between India (the Borrower) and the International Development Association (the Association) and the Project Agreement of even date herewith between the Association and the States of Assam, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Orissa, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh (hereinafter referred to individually as "Project State" and collectively as "Project States") for the above captioned Project, I am writing on behalf of each Project State to set forth the following: Schedule 2, paragraph 1 (b) 1. The implementation schedule referred to in paragraph 1 (b) is set out in Attachment I to this letter. Schedule 2, paragraph 2 (a) 2. Each SPO in Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh and Orissa will be staffed with a financial/procurement officer, a civil works officer and a training specialist not later than March 31, 1997. Each DPO in Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh and Orissa will be staffed with a Project Coordintor, a financial/procurement officer and an in-service training in-charge not later than March 31, 1997. It is our understanding that in making the Credit, the Association may rely on the statements set forth or referred to in this letter.
