A number of planning guidelines and manuals have been prepared with training and consultations. Financial management and procurement processes are being followed with improvements in documentation and additional training. Audit findings are being addressed. Safeguards training has been carried out and additional capacity building of MAF and district staff will be carried out under the GAFSP financed project (SAPIP). Efforts to solicit farmer feedback on training programs and extension services have been initiated. The grant is scheduled to close November 20 with all planned activities completed. Disbursements are expected to be completed within 4 months of the closing date.
