Page 1 July 22, 1992 His Excellency Elias Kwassivi Kpetigo Minister of Economy and Finance Ministry of Economy and Finance Lome, Republic of Togo Re: TOGO - Credit No. 2018 TO (Pre-Investment Project) Amendment to the Development Credit Agreement Excellency: We refer to the Development Credit Agreement (the Agreement) dated June 29, 1989, between the Republic of Togo and the International Development Association (the Association). Pursuant to the Borrower's request dated January 14, 1992, we propose to amend the Development Credit Agreement as follows: 1. The table set forth in paragraph 1 of Schedule I to the Agreement shall be amended to read as follows: Amount of the Credit Allocated % of (Expressed in Expenditures Category SDR Equivalent) to be Financed (1)Consultants' services: (a) for Parts A and B12,290,000 85% of the Project (b) for Part B2 of the1,000,000 100% Project (2)Training 210,000 100% (3)Unallocated 400,000 TOTAL 3,900,000 2. Part B of Schedule 2 to the Agreement shall be amended to read as follows: "Part B - Sectoral Studies 1. Execution of Sectoral Studies to evaluate the results of investments already implemented and identify future investments needed in specific sectors of the Borrower's economy. 2. Execution of studies to identify and prepare priority projects addressing key environmental and poverty alleviation issues." The amendment shall come into force retroactively as from 14 January 1992.
