Page 1 May 13, 1993 His Excellency Rock Marc Christian KABORE Minister of State, and Minister of Finance and Planning B.P. 7050 Ouagadougou Burkina Faso Re: BURKINA FASO: Agricultural Services Project (Credit No. 1979 BUR) Amendment to Development Credit Agreement Excellency, We refer to the above-mentioned Agreement, dated January 28, 1989 (the Agreement), between Burkina Faso (the Borrower) and the International Development Association (the Association), and to your letter, dated April 3, 1993, wherein you have requested the Association to amend the Agreement in order to have the outstanding balance due under the Project Preparation Advance for a proposed Livestock Project (PPF P304-BUR) refinanced under the above-mentioned Credit. We are pleased to inform you that the Association accedes to your request and agrees, accordingly, to amend Section 1.02 (x) of the Agreement to read as follows: (x) "Project Preparation Advance" means the project preparation advances granted by the Association to the Borrower pursuant to a first exchange of letters, dated May 14 and September 14, 1984, and to a further exchange of letters, dated May 7 and June 15, 1987, between the Borrower and the Association; Please confirm your agreement to the foregoing amendment, on behalf of the Borrower, by signing and dating the confirmation form on the enclosed copy of this letter and returning it to us for our records.
