Joint Press Release C ITERNATIONAL INTERNATIONAL BANK MONETARY FUND FOR RECONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOEMENT For Immediate Release Subject: Membership of Upper Volta May 2, 1963 Upper Volta today became a member of the International Monetary Fund and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development when the Articles of Agreement of the two institutions were signed in Washington on behalf of the Republic of Upper Volta by the Ambassador, His Excellency John Boureima Kabore. Upper Volta's quota in the International Monetary Fund is $7,500,000 and its subscription to the capital stock of the Interna-ional Bank is 100 shares * with a total par value of $10,000,000. Eighty-six nations are now members of the Fund and 85 nations are members of the Bank. Admission of Upper Volta brought the total of members' quotas in the Fund to $15,238,700,000, and the total subscribed capital of the Bank to $20,729,800,000. I
