Maleiane Governor Bank of Mozambique Maputo, Mozambique Excellency, Re: Amendment to Development Credit Agreement Small and Medium Enterprise Development Project (Credit No. 2082-MOZ) We refer to the above-mentioned Development Credit Agreement (the Agreement) dated February 7, 1990 between the Republic of Mozambique (the Borrower) and the International Development Association (the Association). Further to discussions held between representatives of the Borrower and the Association, and your letter 296/G/92 dated October 2, 1992, we are pleased to inform you that the Association hereby agrees to amend the Agreement, as follows. 1. The table set forth in paragraph 1 of Schedule 1 to the Development Credit Agreement is amended and replaced by the following: Amount of the % of Expenditure Category Credit Allocated to be Financed (expressed in SDR Equivalent) (1) Sub-loans under Part A of the Project financing: (a) Goods 11,800,000 100% of foreign expenditures and 70% of local expenditures (b) Civil and 8,100,000 100% engineering works; and (c) Consultants' 1,200,000 100% services under Parts A and B.4 of the Project `(2) Part B.1 of the Project (UGP): (a) Goods and 240,000 100% services; and (b) Operating 80,000 100% of foreign costs expenditures and 70% of local expenditures (3) Consultants' 270,000 100% services and training under Parts B.2 (a) and Page 2 (b) of the Project (4) Goods and 1,850,000 100% services under Part B.2 (c) of the Project (5) Goods and 330,000 100% services under Part B.3 of the Project (IDIL) (6) Refunding of 200,000 Amount due pursuant PPF to Section 2.02 (c) of this Agreement (7) Unallocated 1,030,000 TOTAL 25,100,000 2. Paragraph (a) (i) of Section 3.05. of the Agreement is amended by replacing the date "December 31, 1991" with 'June 30, 1993". Please indicate your agreement with the foregoing by countersigning and dating the form of confirmation on the two original copies of this letter provided to you and returning one original, as countersigned, to us.
