Box 8147 Kampala, Uganda Re: Credit Number 2088-UG (The Alleviation of Poverty and Social Costs of Adjustment Project) - Amendment Dear Mr. Minister: We refer to the Development Credit Agreement for the above-referenced Credit dated February 8, 1990 between the Republic of Uganda (the Borrower) and the International Development Association (the Association). We have reviewed the letter date January 15, 1991 from Mr. Tumsiime-Mutebile, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, proposing and amendment to the Development Credit Agreement with respect to disbursement Categories relating to the small-scale infrastructure rehabilitation component of the Project. In order to implement Mr. Tumsiime-Mutebile's proposal, we propose to amend Categories (1), (2) and (3) of Schedule 1 to the Development Credit Agreement as follows: Amount of the Credit Allocated (Expressed in SDR % of Expenditures Category Equivalent To BeFinanced (1) Civil Works 1,688,000 100% of foreign expenditures and 80% of local expenditures (2) Equipment, Tools, 430,000 100% of foreign Vehicles and expenditures and Operating Costs 80% of local expenditures (3) Consultant's Services 202,000 100% Training and Data Collection
