Amendment of the Development Credit Agreement We refer to the Development Credit Agreement (Jiangxi Agricultural Development Project) between the People's Republic of China (the Borrower) and the International Development Association (the Association) dated March 15, 1990, and to the Project Agreement of even date between the Association and Jiangxi Province. We refer also to the request from Chinese authorities to the Association for an increase in the percentage of expenditures to be disbursed for the works described in Category (1) under the Project. The Association is pleased to inform you that, after due consideration, it has agreed to the above request. Therefore, the Association proposes to amend the Development Credit Agreement as follows: Category (1) of paragraph 1 of Schedule 1 is amended to read as follows: Category Amount of Credit % of expen- Allocated (Expressed in ditures SDR Equivalent) to be Financed (1) Works for fisheries 12,400,000 45% and livestock development, forest establishment and tea renovation, and buildings and roads" Please confirm your agreement with the foregoing proposed amendment by signing and dating this letter in the space provided below. This amendment may be executed in two counterparts, each of which shall be an original. Upon your confirmation, please return one fully executed original to us. This amendment will be effective as of the date of this letter upon receipt by the Association of one fully executed original of this amendment.
