We also refer to the discussions we hat in the field with the representatives of Ministry of Finance (MOF) and Ministry of Railways (MR) where it was pointed out that the Loan Agreement does not have a separate component for transfer of technology to Mr, though the financing for this component is included in the Loan for the Project. We are pleased to inform you that the Bank has agreed to amend the Loan Agreement as discussed with you. Accordingly, a new part is added to Schedule 2 to tho Loan Agreement as follows: Part E: Assisting MR in improving its operation and efficiency through transfer of technology in areas such as permanent way maintenance machinery, signalling and communications equipment. " Please confirm your agreement with the foregoing amendment by signing and dating the confirmation form on the enclosed copy of this letter and returning it to us for our files.
