International Finance Corporation (IFC) Board of Governors resolution ; no. 22 : membership of Dominican Republic

 INTERNATIONAL FINANCE CORPORATION BOARD OF GOVERNORS Resolution No. 22 Membership of Dominican Republic RESOLVED THAT: 1. Upon complying with the terms hereof, the Dominican Republic shall be readmitted to membership in the Corporation on the same terms and conditions as if it had never ceased to be a member therein and all rights and obligations of, or derived from, the Dominican Republic and the Corporation in respect of such cessation of membership shall thereupon cease and determine: (a) the Dominican Republic shall have become a member of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank); (b) the Dominican Republic shall deposit with the Corporation a request, in form and substance satisfactory to the Corporation, that it be readmitted to membership in the Corporation pursuant to, and with the effect set forth in, this Resolution; (c) the Dominican Republic shall deposit with the Bank an instrument stating that, in accordance with its law, the Dominican Republic: (i) reconfirms its signature to the Articles of Agreement of the Corporation; (ii) has accepted all the provisions of this Resolution; (iii) reconfirms the Instrument of Acceptance filed by it with the Bank on February 21, 1956; and (iv) has taken all steps necessary to enable it to carry out its obligations under said Articles and this Resolution; (d) the Dominican Republic shall furnish to the Corporation, before the deposit of the instruments referred to in paragraphs (b) and (c) above, such information as the Corporation shall have requested concerning the actions taken by it to authorize its readmission to membership in the Corporation; and 2. The Dominican Republic may accept readmission to membership in the Corporation pursuant to this Resolution until March 30, 1962, provided, however, that, if extraordinary circumstances are deemed by the Board of Directors to warrant an extension of the period during which the Dominican Republic may accept membership pursuant to this Resolution, the Board of Directors may extend such period.
