Box 30007 Nairobi, Kenya Dear Sir: Kenya: National Agricultural Research Project (Cr.1849-KE) Amendments We refer to the Development Credit Agreement for the above-mentioned Project, dated May 13, 1988 between the Republic of Kenya (the Borrower) and the International Development Association (the Association) as amended to date, and to your letter of February 10, 1994 requesting an extension of the project closing date, a revision of disbursement percentages and a reallocation of funds. We are pleased to inform you that the Association agrees to your request and proposes the following amendments to the Development Credit Agreement: (a) The date in Section 2.03 is amended to read "June 30, 1995". (b) The table set out in paragraph 1 of Schedule 1 to the Development Credit Agreement is amended to read as shown in the attachment to this letter. All provisions of the Development Credit Agreement except as amended herein shall remain in full force and effect. Kindly countersign, date and return to us the enclosed copy of this letter. As requested, this amendment shall become effective retroactively from January 1, 1994.
