Page 1 CAS Public Information Notice World Bank Board Discusses Mozambique Country Assistance Strategy On November 20, 2003, the Board of Directors of the World Bank discussed the Country Assistance Strategy (CAS) for Mozambique covering the period FY04-07 (July 2003 through June 2004). Country Context Mozambique has sustained rapid growth since achieving peace in 1992. One-time events contributed, such as the return of displaced people to the countryside, the achievement of macroeconomic stability, and the transformation of a centrally-planned state-owned economy into a market-oriented one.
