MALADIE D’ETIOLOGIE INCERTAINE E spagne.

DISEASE OF UNCERTAIN ÆMOLOGY Spain . — Information has been received that cases of an illness, mainly in children and restricted to the Bonavista area of Tarra gona, are being virologically and epidemiologically investigated. Infection with poliomyelitis virus has been excluded in some cases and has not yet been demonstrated in the others. Moreover, in view of the large proportion of the population responding to regular vaccination and revaccination programmes throughout Spain, including the Tarragona area, the level of immunity is reported to be high. The authorities do not consider this incident constitutes any risk for international travel, and poliomyelitis vaccination is not a requirement of entry into the country.
