The follow-up examinations will be continued until all the survivors have been followed for at least one year. Since the project has thus been finished, it remains to analyze the data and to publish the results. The present and future activities are mainly concerned with the following subjects: (a) community study of transient ischaemic attack, (b) diagnostic stroke problems, (c) therapeutic trials of various vaso-active drugs, (d) socio-economic aspects of stroke. \ \ The issue of this document does not constitute formal publication.
