Xlüth WORLD CONFERENCE ON HEALTH EDUCATION The X lllth World Conference on Health Education is scheduled to take place from 28 August to 2 September 1988 in Houston, Texas. The Conference is sponsored jointly by the World Health Organization and the International Union for Health Education, in cooperation with the Centers for Disease Control and the United States Host Committee which represents over 40 public health organizations, including the American Public Health Asso ciation, the American Medical Association and the American Red Cross. “Participation for all m health” is the theme for this con ference, which aims to stimulate and encourage participants from around the world to exchange information, skills, knowledge and expertise related to health education. In addition, a number o f special topics—AIDS health education, maternal and infant health, helping a billion children learn about health, and smoking and health—will be emphasized. Abstracts of papers to be presented at the Conference should be submitted as early as possible: United States submissions must be received by 30 September 1987, and international submissions by 30 October 1987. XIIIe CONFÉRENCE MONDIALE SUR L’ÉDUCATION POUR LA SANTÉ La X III' Conférence mondiale sur l’éducation pour la santé se tiendra du 28 août au 2 septembre 1988 à Houston, au Texas. La Conférence est organisée conjointement par l’Organisation mondiale de la Santé et l’Union internationale d’Education pour la Santé, en collaboration avec les Centers for Disease Control et le Comité d’accueil (Host Committee) aux Etats-Unis d’Amérique, qui représente plus de 40 organisations de santé publique, dont VAmerican Public Health Association, VAmerican Medical Association et la Croix-Rouge américaine. Le thème de la Confe rence, qui a pour but d’inciter les participants du monde entier à échanger des informations, des connaissances et des compétences en matière d’éducation pour la santé sera «la participation de tous à la santé». Par ailleurs, plusieurs autres sujets seront traités: l’éducation pour la santé et le SIDA, la santé maternelle et infantile, comment aider un milliard d’enfants à s’instruire sur la santé, et le tabac et la santé.
