Membership of the Sub-Committee on Technical Cooperation among Developing Countries (Resolution)

26 REGIONAL COMMITTEE: THIRTIETH SESSION WPR/RC30.R6 TECHNICAL COOPERATION AMONG DEVELOPING COUNTRIES The Regional Committee, Having considered the report of the Sub-Committee on Technical Cooperation among Developing Countries,l 1. AGREES with the recommendations contained in the report; 2. REQUESTS the Regional Director to take appropriate action to put those recommendations into effect; 3. REQUESTS the Sub-Committee to discuss in depth the meaning of the term technical cooperation apd mechanisms for implementation. Fifth meeting, 4 October 1979 WPRiRC30.R7 MEMBERSHIP OF THE SUB-COMMITTEE ON TECHNICAL COOPERATION AMONG DEVELOPING COUNTRIES The Regional Committee, Recalling operative paragraph four of resolution WPR/RC29.R19 regarding membership of the Sub-Committee on Technical Cooperation among Developing Countries, 1. DECIDES that, in future, membership of the Sub-Committee on Technical Cooperation among Developing Countries shall be on a rotational basis; 2. FURTHER DECIDES that: (1) during the thirtieth session of the Regional Committee, the representatives of Japan and Singapore shall be replaced as members of the Sub-Committee by the representatives of Australia and Philippines; (2) from the thirtieth session, the period of tenure for members of the Sub-Committee shall be three years; (3) composition of the Sub-Committee therefore shall be reconsidered whenever a member has served for three years; 3.
