Modifications made to the 1972 and 1973 programme and budget estimates (Resolution)

REPORT OF THE REGIONAL COMMITTEE 41 Noting the concern of the Member countries for the standards of drinking water on international flights; Recognizing that diseases are also transmitted through such media as food; and Considering that such food is served on international flights, REQUESTS the Regional Director: (1) to obtain information from Member countries in the Region regarding (a) the safeguards currently in effect to control the sanitary quality of food served on international flights, and (b) studies done in Member countries to assess the risk of food-borne diseases on international flights; (2) to present his findings to the next meeting of the Regional Committee. NOTES the report of the Regional Director on budget performance for the financial year 1971;1 and 2. NOTES with satisfaction the continued to inter-country activities which serve to a specific activity as a first step to the activities within the countries as well as country co-operation in the Region; emphasis being given generate interest in organization of promoting inter- 2. REQUESTS the Regional Director to transmit the proposals, as amended during the twenty-third session of the Regional Committee, to the Director-General for his consideration for inclusion in his proposed programme and budget estimates for 1974.
