Appointment of the Regional Director for Europe 1. The present appointment of Dr Marc Danzon as Regional Director for Europe expires on 31 January 2005. 2. At its fifty-fourth session, the Regional Committee for Europe, in accordance with the provisions of Article 52 of the Constitution of the World Health Organization, and with Rule 47 of its own Rules of Procedure, nominated Dr Marc Danzon for a new term as Regional Director for Europe and adopted the following resolution:1 The Regional Committee, Considering Article 52 of the Constitution of WHO; and In accordance with Rule 47 of the Rules of Procedure of the Regional Committee for Europe; 1. NOMINATES Dr Marc Danzon as Regional Director for Europe; and
2. REQUESTS the Director-General to propose to the Executive Board the appointment of Dr Marc Danzon from 1 February 2005.
ACTION BY THE EXECUTIVE BOARD 3. The Executive Board may wish to consider this resolution in accordance with the provisions of Article 52 of the Constitution, and of Rule 48 of the Rules of Procedure of the Executive Board.
