Phase IIl East7.3 fhe experimental treatment with Pirytagri-Temephos was rnaintained on the Ilekrou, Goroubi, DJranonSou and Tapea durin8 the 4 cycles of the month. .LIl- other rivers were treated with Abate-Procida. fhe treatnent of the stretch of the Oti: rrliara confluent-Sabarirr ua-e suspended durin6 the month of September. Drring the J9th cyclet for security reaEons, we suspended treatrnent on the Oti/pendjari. Phase III l,Iest the Ba6oe and Baor;le basins were treated with Abate, During week ]B insecticide testing uas done on the Faya and Baorrle. ?.4 Phase IV I?re Upper I'Iarahoue was treated wj.th Teknar 1 the middle part with chlor- phoxim and the lor'rer part with pernethrine. The J-oler Comoe (up to Abengor:rou) nao treatod with permethrine. The Sassandra and tributaries located in Ivory Coaot were treated with Abate during cycle 16-37 aeLd with carbosulfan during cycles 38-19. ?.6 Western Extension In the Sankarani basin two larvicides were used: Teknar and pernethrine, while the tributaries of the Sassandra located in Guinea were treated uith Teknar. 7.? Southern &tension, The Pru river was treated with Teknar during the 4 cycles of Septenber 1985. D"re to shortage of Teknar in the eastern zone, treatment on the tributaries of the Pru and on the tributariee of the Black Volta was suspended for the three first cycles of the month. Iarrriciding of those rivers resumed on week J9. 8. Breakdovrns During the month of September 1p85, 12 breakdowns of the spray equipment or of the aircraft were recorded. (See Table ?). 9.
