Hong Kong. — 1 Sporadic cases o f influenza, first reported in June, have continued to occur throughout the summer. All isolates were antigenically closely related to A/Victoria/3/75. 1See No. 34, p. 275.

All sera have also been tested to determine their antibody titres to A/Victoria/3/75. These titres do not show the pattern of age distribution so clearly seen in the results of tests with the A/New Jersey strain.
Tous les sérums furent également testés pour déterminer leurs titres d ’anticorps pour A/Victoria/3/75. Ces titres ne présentaient pas le type de distribution par groupe d’âge qui apparaît clairement dans les résultats des tests effectués avec la souche A/New Jersey.

148 » L ’expérience acquise récemment avec l'antigène A/New Jersey/8/76 a montré que cet antigène est un peu plus avide d'anticorps que A/Mayo Clinic/103/74. On doit utiliser pour les tests sérologiques l’antigène inactivé A/New Jersey/8/76 qui peut être obtenu auprès de l’Umté des Maladies à Virus de TOMS à Genève.
1 Recent experience with A/New Jersey/8/76 antigen has shown that it is slightly more avid for antibodies than A/Mayo Climc/103/74. Serological tests must be carried out with the inactivated antigen A/New Jersey/8/76 which is available from the Virus Diseases Unit, WHO, Geneva.
