Laboratory surveillance for wild and vaccine-derived polioviruses, January 2006–June 2007 Of the circulating vaccine-derived polioviruses (cVDPVs) referred to in Table 3 (p. 325), cVDPV isolates were found in each of the following countries: Myanmar (4 cases of serotype 1); Nigeria (66 cases of serotype 2); Niger (2 single serotype 2 cases genetically linked to the Nigerian cVDPV); and Cambodia (1 case of serotype 3 genetically linked to the cVDPV isolated in 2005). Additionally, 4 cases in Nigeria excreted both wild poliovirus (WPV; 2 with WPV1 and 2 with WPV3) and serotype 2 VDPV. Preceding case counts as of 7 September 2007.
Surveillance au laboratoire des poliovirus sauvages et dérivés d’une souche vaccinale, janvier 2006-juin 2007 Certains des poliovirus circulants dérivés d’une souche vaccinale (PVDVc) auxquels il est fait référence dans le Tableau 3 (p. 325) ont été trouvés dans les pays suivants: Myanmar (4 cas de type 1); Nigéria (66 cas de type 2); Niger (2 cas isolés de type 2, génétiquement liés au PVDVc d’origine nigériane); et au Cambodge (1 cas de type 3 génétiquement lié au PVDVc isolé en 2005). D’autre part, 4 cas identifiés au Nigéria ont excrété à la fois le poliovirus sauvage (2 poliovirus sauvages de type 1; et 2 de type 3) et le PVDV de sérotype 2. Le précédent cumul des cas date du 7 septembre 2007.
