PRELIMINARY TESTS O F INFLUENZA'VACCINES A (H1N1) Two types of inactivated vaccines prepared by the National Institute for Biological Standards and Control, London, have been subjected to preliminary tests. The results are presented in Table 1.

This Table shows that the haemagglutmation-inhibition antibody responses to A/USSR/92/77 (HI NI) were poor, even with the highest concentration of whole virus vaccine. The poor responses were undoubtedly due to the unprimed status of the vaccinées.
Ce Tableau montre que les réponses en anticorps d ’inhibition de l’hémagglutination au virus A/USSR/92/77 (H1N1) ont été faibles, même avec la plus forte concentration de vaccin à base de virus entier. Ces réponses faibles sont certainement dues au fait que les vaccinés n ’ont jamais eu de contact avec l ’antigène viral.
