It endorsed the terms of reference of the Global coordination mechanism for NCDS and recommended the terms of reference of the United Nations Interagency Task Force on the Prevention and Control of Noncommunicable Diseases to the Economic and Social Council in June 2014. A High-level meeting on the comprehensive review and assessment of the progress achieved in the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases of the General Assembly of the United Nations was held in July 2014. The attached paper is the outcome document of this High-level meeting for the consideration of the Regional Committee for Europe.
