Ebola haemorrhagic fever In Côte d 'Ivo ire 1 Follow-up studies of contacts of the single confirmed case of Ebola haemorrhagic fever hospitalized in western Côte d’Ivoire have been completed and no additional cases have been identified. The patient has been discharged and is convalescing. A female contact also hospitalized had a bacterial infection and is responding to antibiotic treat ment. Other ill contacts had non-descript symptoms and were negative on testing for Ebola. In summary, only a single Ebola case has been confirmed, and there is no indication that the virus has spread to contacts in either the hospital or community. ‘ SeeN o, 50, 1995,p . 359.
Fièvre hémorragique à virus Ebolu en Côte d 'ivo ire 1 Le suivi des contacts de l’unique cas confirmé de fièvre hémorragi que à virus Ebola en Côte d’ivoire occidentale est terminé, et aucun autre cas n ’a été identifié. Le patient a pu quitter l’hôpital; il est en voie de guérison. Une femme qui avait été en contact avec le patient a souffert d’une infection bactérienne qui répond à l’antibiothérapie.
