SELECTION OF TOPIC FOR THE TECHNICAL PRESENTATION DURING THE THIRTIETH SESSION OF THE REGIONAL COMMITl'EE The Regional Committee, at its twenty-fifth session, adopted a resolution which decided that the Technical Discussions held at each of its sessions since 1952, with the exception of the 1970 session, should be replaced by a technical presentation. The topic for the presentation will deal with. special subject, or a health problem and/or approaches to a health prob1~ "Diarrhoeal diseases including cholera, typhoid and paratyphoi~' is the topic for the Technical Presentation at the twenty-ninth session of the Regional Committee. In choosing a topic for the Technical Presentation at the thirtieth session the Committee may wish to consider the following suggestions of the Secretariat: (1) (2) (3) (4)
acute respiratory infections; national information systems for planning and management of health programmes; tmmunization services and their evaluation; policies and patterns in environmental pollution control in developing countries of the Western Pacific Region.
Representatives may, of course, wish to suggest other topics for the Committee to consider.
