The patient, a Portuguese worker aged 36, left Mirandela near Bragança on 12 September. He travelled by bus via Cologne, Duisburg, Düsseldorf, Münster and Osnabrück and continued by rail to Hanover where he was hospitalized in isolation on 13 Sep tember. The diagnosis was confirmed bacteriologically on 17 Sep tember. All necessary control measures have been taken and no part of the Federal Republic of Germany should be considered infected as a result of this imported case. CHOLÉRA R épublique fédérale d ’A llemagne. — Un cas importé de choléra, dû à V. cholerae, biotype eltor, sérotype Inaba, a été signalé à Hanovre. Il s’agit d’un travailleur portugais âgé de 36 ans qui, le 12 septembre, avait quitté Mirandela près de Bragance pour gagner Osnabrück, en autocar, via Cologne, Duisburg, Düsseldorf et Munster, puis Hanovre par le train. A son arrivée le 13 septembre, U fut hospitalisé et mis à l’isolement. L ’examen bactériologique devait confirmer le diagnostic le 17 septembre. Toutes les précau tions nécessaires ont été prises et aucune partie du territoire de la République fédérale d ’Allemagne n ’est à considérer comme infectée du fait de ce cas importé.
