Noting with i n t e r e s t the r e su l t s of an enquiry i n to the m a 1 heal th and c o m n i t y development proJects i n the Region, which a r e ~ a l y 8 e d i n the document,
1. REITERATES the importance of Member S ta tes organizing ccithin t h e i r Ministries of Health a special department to deal par t icular ly with planning f o r r u r a l heal th and its integrat ion with other technical and social senrices including conmunity development, and adopting a policy of regionalization of heal th work;
2. URiZ.5 Govemunentswhohaye not already done so, t o send rep l ies t o the Regional Direator's questionnaire on rura l health and community development so t h a t information on the subject may be complete and up-to-date fo r t he whole Region;
3. REQUESTS the Regional Director to continue t o a s s i s t Governments i n planning and developing t he i r r u r a l health ac t iv i t i es .
