La información tabulada presentada en este documento complementa el informe anual sobre los recursos humanos:1 Cuadro 12 Cuadro 22 Comparación de la situación de los países en relación con los límites convenientes Evolución de la representación geográfica en los puestos sujetos a distribución geográfica (septiembre de 1996 a final de 1999).
Los límites convenientes se calcularon mediante la fórmula expuesta a continuación. En respuesta a la resolución WHA50.15 (1997), referente a la representación geográfica en la contratación de personal internacional en la OMS, el número de puestos utilizado en el cálculo se ha fijado en 1450. • Número total de puestos: 1450 • Condición de Miembro: 3,0208333 puestos por país (total: 580 puestos) • Cuota: 7,975 puestos por cada 1% del total de contribuciones (total: 797,50 puestos) • Población: 0,0123280 puestos por millón de habitantes (total: 72,50 puestos; población total: 5 966 225 000)
• Límites superior e inferior de cada margen deseable: más o menos la cantidad que sea mayor de las dos siguientes: 15% ó 2,5781 puestos. Las cifras resultantes para los límites superior e inferior se redondearán al número entero más próximo hacia arriba y hacia abajo respectivamente, y en ningún caso se situarán por debajo de 8 para el límite superior y de 1 para el límite inferior.
