<level xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" class="para2" eId="section-1-1-b-ii"><num>(ii)</num><content><p>a dispute between the United Kingdom and another party to the GPA,</p></content></level>
<level xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" class="para2" eId="section-1-1-b-iii"><num>(iii)</num><content><p>a modification of another party's Appendix I to the GPA, or</p></content></level>
<level xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" class="para2" eId="section-1-1-b-iv"><num>(iv)</num><content><p>a modification of the list of central government entities in Annex 1 to the United Kingdom's Appendix I to the GPA.</p></content></level>
<subsection xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" eId="section-1-2"><num>(2)</num><intro><p>Regulations under subsection (1) may not come into force before—</p></intro><level class="para1" eId="section-1-2-a"><num>(a)</num><content><p>in the case of regulations under subsection (1
<level xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" class="para1" eId="section-1-2-a"><num>(a)</num><content><p>in the case of regulations under subsection (1)(a), the day the United Kingdom accedes to the GPA;</p></content></level>
<level xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" class="para1" eId="section-1-2-b"><num>(b)</num><content><p>in the case of regulations under subsection (1)(b)(i), the day the other party accedes to or, as the case may be, withdraws from, the GPA;</p></content></level>

<subsection xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" eId="section-2-2"><num>(2)</num><intro><p>An “<term refersTo="#term-international-trade-agreement" eId="term-international-trade-agreement">international trade agreement</term>” means—</p></intro><level class="para1" eId="section-
<level xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" class="para1" eId="section-2-2-a"><num>(a)</num><content><p>a free trade agreement, or</p></content></level>
<level xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" class="para1" eId="section-2-2-b"><num>(b)</num><content><p>an international agreement that mainly relates to trade, other than a free trade agreement.</p></content></level>
<subsection xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" eId="section-2-3"><num>(3)</num><content><p>Regulations under subsection (1) may make provision for the purpose of implementing a free trade agreement only if the other signatory (or each other signatory) and the European Union wer
<subsection xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" eId="section-2-4"><num>(4)</num><content><p>Regulations under subsection (1) may make provision for the purpose of implementing an international trade agreement other than a free trade agreement only if the other signatory (or each

<subsection xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" eId="section-2-8"><num>(8)</num><content><p>Regulations under subsection (1) may not make provision that could be made by regulations under section 9 of the Taxation (Cross-border Trade) Act 2018.</p></content></subsection>

<subsection xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" eId="section-2-10"><num>(10)</num><intro><p>No regulations may be made under subsection (1) after the end of—</p></intro><level class="para1" eId="section-2-10-a"><num>(a)</num><content><p>the period of five years beginning with IP
