<level xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" class="para1" eId="section-1-a"><num>(a)</num><content><p>relates to managed airspace or the flight procedures or air traffic control procedures used within it, and</p></content></level>

<subsection xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" eId="section-2-1"><num>(1)</num><intro><p>The Secretary of State may give a direction to a person involved in airspace change requiring the person to do one or more of the following—</p></intro><level class="para1" eId="section-2-1
<level xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" class="para1" eId="section-2-1-a"><num>(a)</num><content><p>prepare an airspace change proposal or take steps towards the preparation of an airspace change proposal;</p></content></level>
<level xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" class="para1" eId="section-2-1-b"><num>(b)</num><content><p>submit an airspace change proposal to the CAA;</p></content></level>
<level xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" class="para1" eId="section-2-1-c"><num>(c)</num><content><p>take steps to obtain approval to an airspace change proposal that has been submitted to the CAA;</p></content></level>

<subsection xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" eId="section-2-2"><num>(2)</num><intro><p>For the purposes of this Part, a person is involved in airspace change if the person is—</p></intro><level class="para1" eId="section-2-2-a"><num>(a)</num><content><p>an air navigation serv
<level xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" class="para1" eId="section-2-2-a"><num>(a)</num><content><p>an air navigation service provider,</p></content></level>
<level xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" class="para1" eId="section-2-2-b"><num>(b)</num><content><p>an airport operator, or</p></content></level>
<level xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" class="para1" eId="section-2-2-c"><num>(c)</num><content><p>another person with functions relating to air navigation.</p></content></level>
<subsection xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" eId="section-2-3"><num>(3)</num><content><p>Before giving a direction to a person under subsection (1) the Secretary of State must consult the person.</p></content></subsection>
<subsection xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" eId="section-2-4"><num>(4)</num><content><p>The Secretary of State may give a direction under subsection (1) only if the Secretary of State considers that the direction will assist in the delivery of the CAA's airspace strategy.</p
<subsection xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" eId="section-2-5"><num>(5)</num><intro><p>A direction given to a person under subsection (1) may require the person, in doing what the person is directed to do, to—</p></intro><level class="para1" eId="section-2-5-a"><num>(a)</num>
