Grenfell Tower Memorial (Expenditure) Act 2026
<section xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" eId="section-1"><num>1</num><heading>Expenditure relating to commemorating the victims of the fire at Grenfell Tower</heading><intro><p>There may be paid out of money provided by Parliament expenditure incurred by the Secretary of State on or in connection with the following activities in England—</p></intro><level class="para1" eId="section-1-a"><num>(a)</num><content><p>the construction of a memorial to commemorate the victims of the fire at Grenfell Tower on 14 June 2017;</p></content></level><level class="para1" eId="section-1-b"><num>(b)</num><content><p>the preservation, archiving or exhibition of elements of the Tower, material from inside the Tower or other material relating to the fire;</p></content></level><level class="para1" eId="section-1-c"><num>(c)</num><content><p>the use, operation, maintenance or improvement of the memorial, archive or exhibition;</p></content></level><level class="para1" eId="section-1-d"><num>(d)</num><intro><p>the acquisition of, works on, and the use, operation, maintenance or improvement of—</p></intro><level class="para2" eId="section-1-d-i"><num>(i)</num><content><p>land for the purposes of paragraph (a) or (b);</p></content></level><level class="para2" eId="section-1-d-ii"><num>(ii)</num><content><p>land where elements of the Tower are, or may be, buried.</p></content></level></level></section>

<level xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" class="para1" eId="section-1-c"><num>(c)</num><content><p>the use, operation, maintenance or improvement of the memorial, archive or exhibition;</p></content></level>
<level xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" class="para1" eId="section-1-d"><num>(d)</num><intro><p>the acquisition of, works on, and the use, operation, maintenance or improvement of—</p></intro><level class="para2" eId="section-1-d-i"><num>(i)</num><content><p>land for the purposes of paragraph (a) or (b);</p></content></level><level class="para2" eId="section-1-d-ii"><num>(ii)</num><content><p>land where elements of the Tower are, or may be, buried.</p></content></level></level>

<section xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" eId="section-2"><num>2</num><heading>Short title</heading><content><p>This Act may be cited as the Grenfell Tower Memorial (Expenditure) Act 2026.</p></content></section>
