<section xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" xmlns:uk="https://www.legislation.gov.uk/namespaces/UK-AKN" xmlns:ukl="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/namespaces/legislation" eId="section-1"><num>1</num><heading> Welfare of animals kept in quarantine.</heading><content><p><mod>In Schedule 2 to the <noteRef href="#c877890" uk:name="commentary" ukl:Name="CommentaryRef" class="commentary"/>Animal Health Act 1981 (matters in respect of which importation control orders may be made), after paragraph 4 there shall be inserted the following paragraph—<quotedStructure startQuote="“" endQuote="”" uk:context="schedule" uk:docName="unknown" ukl:TargetClass="unknown" ukl:TargetSubClass="unknown" ukl:Context="schedule" ukl:Format="default"><hcontainer name="crossheading" class="schGroup7"><heading/><paragraph class="schProv1"><num>4A</num><content><p>The premises at which animals and other things are to be kept in quarantine in pursuance of the order and the welfare of the animals kept in such premises.</p></content></paragraph></hcontainer></quotedStructure><inline name="appendText">.</inline></mod></p></content></section>
<section xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/legaldocml/ns/akn/3.0" eId="section-2"><num>2</num><heading> Short title, commencement and extent.</heading><subsection eId="section-2-1"><num>(1)</num><content><p>This Act may be cited as the Animal Health (Amendment) Act 1998.</p></content></subsection><subsection eId="section-2-2"><num>(2)</num><content><p>This Act shall come into force at the end of the period of two months beginning with the date on which it is passed.</p></content></subsection><subsection eId="section-2-3"><num>(3)</num><content><p>This Act does not extend to Northern Ireland.</p></content></subsection></section>
