• :!QINT PRESS RELEASE International Monetary Fund and International Bank for Reconstruction and Development FOR THE PRESS For Immediate Release September 26, 1966 Guyana today became a member of the International Monetary Fund and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (World Bank) when the Articles of Agreement of these institutions were signed in Washington, D.C. on behalf of the Government of Guyana by The Honorable Peter Stanislaus D'Aguiar, Minister of Finance. Guyana's quota in the Fund is $15,000,000, and its subscription • to the capital stock of the Bank is 160 shares with a total par value of $16,000,000. Membership of both the Fund and the Bank now totals 105 nations. Admission of Guyana brings the total of members' quotas in the Fund to $20,596,370,000, ~nd the total of subscribed capital of the Bank to $22,606,800,000 • ••
