A Study Report on Noise Prevention & Control of the Sensitive Spots Tongchuan -Huangling Class -one Highway Xian Highway Transportation University May, 1995 A Study Report on Noise Prevention & Control of the Sensitive Spots Tongchuan -Huangling Class-one Highway Xian Highway Transportation University May, 1995 A Study Report on Noise Prevention & Control of the Sensitive Spots Tongehuan-Huangling Class-one Highway 1. General Description The total length of Tongchuan-Huangling Class-one Highway is 89. 67 kn including 71. 32 km of full -cross class-one highway from Tongchuan to Huangling and 18. 35km of half-cross class-one hihgway from Yaoxian to Tongchuang. There are two noise sensitive districts, 17 villages (units) .11 schools, 1 hospital along the route. About 11,900 peo- pie will be effected directly. According to EIA report.in 2005.when in service, there will be 12 sensitive spots which exceeds the standard (schools mainly),that number will rise to 14 in 2020. According to this report,some engineering protection measures will be taken towards the 12 sensitive spots which exceed the stan- dard by 3 dB Two sound barriers of 1- lkm ,4 walls with an area of 970m2, 1 enclosed outer corridor with an area of 2000nm will be provided in 2000O 2 sensitive spots will be afforested in 2010. During service period,it is suggested that random monitoring be made on sensitive spots. When an excess is found,measures will be taken. 2.
