The division of contracts is shown in the following table. 1.2 General of resettement Waterwaw: To upgrade the watways and increase the througlput capacity by deenng and widening the watrways. Only some scattered parts of the renovated sections need resetdement and requisition. Port Thee is only requisition in the area of the proposed districts. 'Mere is no relocation of houses or o itetns. 1.3 Volume of requisition and resettlement (1) Reqiisition: 164.968 Ha(equal to 2475 mu) in which: cultivated land: 144.605 Ha(equal to 2169 mu) unculiaed land: 20.363 Ha (equal to 306 mu) Leasing land: 260.603 Ha(equal to 3909 nu) in which: for construeion: 94.407Ha (equal to 1416 mu) for soil piling: 166.196Ha (equal to 2493 mu) The leasing land volume is the estiaed value in th-e demaied design figures. During the constuction period, the volume may be even less, because there are many empty rooms of farmers along channels which can be leased to contractors for official business, daily life and administration, then the leasing land for construction can be deduced. Furthermore, contractors will make carefu-l calculation and strict budgeting on leasing land. Also, the excavated earth can be used to make bricks in bricklins along channels, for the base fling ia economical developing zone and for roadbase filling.
