Office of Director-General Operations Evaluation February 18, 1993 MEMORANDUM TO THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS AND THE PRESIDENT SUBJECT: Project Completion Note on Morocco BNDE VI (Loan 0890-MYC) Attached is a copy of the "Project Completion Note on Morocco - BNDE VI (Loan 0890-MYC)" prepared by the Middle East and North Africa Regional Office. A PCR was not prepared after project completion. Instead, the project was included later into an OED study covering the history of the relationship between BNDE and the Bank Group during the 1970s and beyond. Since the lessons of experience related to the 1970s are known from audits of other BNDE projects and from the study, an audit of this project is not planned. Its contents may not otherwise be disclosed without World Bank authorization.   PROJECT COMPLETION NOTE MOROCCO BNDE VI PROJECT (LOAN 0890-MYC) This Loan was closed on March 31, 1977. An OED mission visited Morocco in April/May 1987 whilst preparing the case study on BNDE for the OED Report entitled "The Sustainability of Development Finance Institutions in an Evolutionary Environment" (OED Report No. 7658, dated May 15, 1989). The Report covers the entire history and lessons of the relationship between BNDE and the Bank Group, and includes the Sixth Line of Credit above-mentioned. Previous and subsequent Bank loans to BNDE were covered in the following Project Performance Audit Reports: - PPAR of June 25, 1974; - PPAR of July 25, 1975; - PPAR of November 23, 1977; and - PPAR of October 4, 1989.
