Bank will convene a meeting at its headquarters on April 30 and May 1 of the Consortium on Aid to India for preliminary discussions of financial aid for the third year of India's Third Five-Year Plan (April 1963 - March 1964). The meeting will be chaired by the World Bank and will be at- tended by representatives of the Governments of Austria, Belgium, Canada, • France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States. The International Monetary Fund will send an observer. The participants will review the progress made by India during the first two years of the Plan. No definite conclusions regarding external assistance for the third. year will be reached at this preliminary meeting nor is it expected that any communique will be issued when ~he meeting adjourns • •
