Joint Press Release INTERNATIONAL MONETARY FUND and INTERNATIONAL BANK FOR RECONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT FOR THE PRESS August 1, 1962 For Immediate Release SUBJECT: Togo joins Fund and Bank Togo today became a member of the International Monetary Fund and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (World Bank) when the Articles of Agreement of these institutions were signed in Washington on behalf of the Government of Togo by the Ambassador, His Excellency Dr. Andre Akakpo. The quota of Togo in the International Monetary Fund is $11,250,000 and its subscription to the capital stock of the Bank is 150 shares with a total par value of $15,000,000. Seventy-seven nations are now members of the Fund, and 76 nations are members of the Bank. Admission of Togo brought the total of members' quotas in the Fund to A15,070,250,000, and the total subscribed capital of the Bank to $20,499,800,ooo.
