Page 1 His Excellency Mohammed Ghannouchi April 3, 1989 Minister of Planning Ministry of Planning 7, Place Ali Zouaoui Tunis Republic of Tunisia Re: Loan No. 2962 TUN (Structural Adjustment Loan) Amendment to the Loan Agreement Excellency: We refer to the Loan Agreement between the Republic of Tunisia (the Borrower) and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank), dated September 26, 1988, for the above-mentioned Loan and to your request for an amendment expressed during the Bank supervision mission of March 1989. The Bank hereby agrees to amend the Loan Agreement as follows: I. A new Section 3.04. is added to read as follows: "Section 3.04. The Borrower shall not later than July 31, 1989, submit to its Assembly of Representatives a draft law on direct taxation satisfactory to the Bank. II. Previous paragraph (c) in Section 5.01 is deleted and paragraph (d) becomes paragraph (c).
