Page 1 August 5, 1988 His Excellency The Minister of Planning and Cooperation Ministry of Planning and Cooperation B.P. 286 N'Djamena Republic of Chad Re: Credit No. 1945 CD African Facility Credit No. A-37 CD (Financial Rehabilitation Credit) Amendments Excellency: Please refer to the Development Credit Agreement and the African Facility Credit Agreement of even date herewith between the Republic of Chad (the Borrower) and the International Development Association acting in its own capacity and as Administrator of the Special Facility for Sub-Saharan Africa. Pursuant to your telex dated August 1, 1988, informing us of the opening of the Special Accounts for the above Credits in Banque Tchadienne de Credit et de Depots, we hereby amend the Development Credit Agreement and the African Facility Credit Agreement as follows: 1. Development Credit Agreement: In Section 2.02 the existing paragraph (b) is replaced by the following new paragraph (b): "(b) The Borrower shall, for the purposes of the Program open and maintain in FCFA a special account in Banque Tchadienne de Credit et de Depots on terms and conditions satisfactory to the Association. Deposits into, and payments out of, the Special Account shall be made in accordance with the provisions of Schedule 4 to this Agreement." 2. African Facility Credit Agreement: In Section 2.02 the existing paragraph (c) is replaced by the following new paragraph (c): "(c) The Borrower shall, for the purposes of the Program open and maintain in FCFA a special account in Banque Tchadienne de Credit et de Depots on terms and conditions satisfactory to the Administrator. Deposits into, and payments out of, the Special Account shall be made in accordance with the provisions of Schedule 4 to this Agreement."
