Box 862 Niamey Niger Re: Credit No. 1890-NIR (Small Rural Operations Project) Amendment to Development Credit Agreement Excellency: We refer to the above-mentioned Development Credit Agreement (the Agreement), dated September 14, 1988, between the Republic of Niger (the Borrower) and the International Development Association (the Association), and to your letter, dated January 14, 1991, requesting the Association to increase the amount of the Authorized Allocation specified in the Agreement for the purposes of the Special Account. We are pleased to inform you that the Association accedes to your request and, accordingly, agrees hereby to amend paragraph 1 (c) (i) of Schedule 5 to the Agreement to read as follows: (i) an amount of CFAF 380,000,000 to be withdrawn from the Credit Account and deposited into the Special Account used exclusively for the Credit; Please confirm your agreement to the foregoing amendment, on behalf of the Borrower, by signing and dating the confirmation form on the enclosed copy of this letter and returning it to us for your records.
