Amendment to the Children Act 1989

The Children Act 1989 is amended as follows.

In section 8 (child arrangements orders and other orders with respect to children), after subsection (4)(i) insert—
Extent, commencement and short title
subsection section-2-1
This Act extends to England and Wales only.
subsection section-2-2
This Act comes into force on the day on which it is passed.
subsection section-2-3
This Act may be cited as the Children Act 1989 (Amendment) (Female Genital Mutilation) Act 2019.
