INFLUENZA Br a z il . — The WHO Collaborating Centre for Reference and Research on Influenza, Atlanta, has characterized a few strains of virus A isolated in 1977 in Belém, P a ri State. The haemagglutination-inhibition. reactions of these isolates have shown that all were inhibited to titres within twofold of the homologous titre by both A/Victoria/3/75 and A/Texas/1/77 antisera.
GRIPPE B résil . — Le Centre collaborateur OMS de Référence et de Recherche pour la grippe d ’Atlanta a caractérisé quelques souches de virus A isolées en 1977 à Belém, Etat de Para. Les réactions d’inhibition de l’hémagglutination de ces isolats ont montré qu’ils étaient tous inhibés à des titres qui ne différaient que dans le rapport de un à deux par rapport au titre homologue, aussi bien avec un antisérum A/Victoria/3/75 qu’avec un antisérum A/Texas/1/77.
