Resolutions of regional interest adopted by the twenty-first World Health Assembly and the Executive Board at its forty-ninth session (Resolution)

WPR/RC23.R2 REPORT OF THE REGIONAL COMMITTEE TWENTY-FIFTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION The Regional Committee, 35 Having considered resolution EB50.R18 adopted by the Executive Board at its fiftieth session on the "Twenty-fifth Anniversary of the World Health Organization" and the report submitted by the Director-General to the Executive Board,l 1. EXPRESSES the hope that Members in the Region will organize national programmes to celebrate this anniversary; 2. DECIDES: (1) that representatives of the Governments of Laos and of the Philippines should address the commemorative meeting at the Twenty-sixth World Health Assembly on behalf of the Western Pacific Region; (2) that part of one day of the twenty-fourth session of the Regional Committee should be set aside for the observa- tion of the Twenty-fifth Anniversary of the World Health Organization; 3. INVITES governments to make the observation of the Anniver- sary part of their national programmes for World Health Day 1973.
