SALMONELLA C anada. — Cases of salmonellosis have been occurring among patients and staff of the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax since 1 August 1969. There have been 73 cases among staff and 85 among patients. S. typhi-murium var. Copenhagen phage type 49 has been isolated from human cases. The organism has also been isolated from chickens and a kitchen band saw used in preparation. S. saintpaul has also been isolated from both human and kitchen sources. These infections have obviously been introduced into the hospital setting in poultry. Stringent precautions are underway to eradicate the organisms.

On a enregistré 73 cas parmi ces derniers et 85 parmi les malades. S. typhi-murium var.
