Milon Clinique Medicale Cardio-Vasculaire Hopital Cardio-Vasculaire et Pneumologique Lyon, France 12,500 subjects have.been screened by 15 September 1972 in the study and reference populations, representing more than~ of the total number of subjects to be aareened. More than 250 initial examinations have been carried out by the same date, corresponding to at leut 25~ of the total number of hypertensive subjects. The majority of these persons have already been referred to their medical practitioners for ad.vice or treatment. No information ia yet available on the treatment undertaken aa a consequence of these referrals. The procedures for asaeaaing morbidity Uld. mortality in the studied groups have been shown to be praoticable. '!'he data acquired by screening are being processed.
